I'm Happy!!
hehe.. such a coincidence.. I wore the "Happy" shirt today!
And I'm feeling quite happy too!
Firstly, I finished my paper by 11.56pm. I think that's an achievement coz I only started in the afternoon.
Then, I went to my aunt's place! It was a nice drive there and back. I had fun watching 3hrs of TV with her :)
Speaking of TV, the serial that I was following ended today. Boo Hoo... I feel lost coz I don't know what to watch now.
I also had time to blade today!
Parents went to the airport to send their friend off, so I took the opportunity to blade around the area. In fact, I just got back.
Thanks for accompanying me on the phone Jeremy, that's really sweet of u!
So now I'm home... need to edit my testimony for Mag. Hopefully, I'll get it right this time. Struggling with it though.. Am still thinking whether I should be the one sharing the testimony. Well. I trust that God has a purpose for everything. I'll just do what I'm suppose to do and leave the rest to him!
Yes...
That new song.. "In You"... Awesome and inspiring. It sounds like a local composition.
I'll get the lyrics and blog it later. Wish there was a recording for it. Hey! I think there is! I'll go ask Christine.. hehe...
*Yayness*

Hearts Aflame
Had two days of conference. It wasn't really two days la.. It was last night and today. But i woke up late today so I didn't attend the full conference anyway.
Praise God because I've learnt much from the conference. I'm even more passionate about my calling now!!!
Well.. tonight's a pretty sian night..
Pissed is not really the word, neither am I feeling upset.. just SIAN... plain SIAN...
Went to starbucks to get myself a coffee.. haha.. *reminds me of MAG*
The 2 shots of espresso is keeping me awake...
I have lots of work to do for tomorrow's thanksgiving... M praying that all goes well..
As I was on my way up from the carpark, I'm reminded that God is bigger than me. Just this phrase brings comfort to the SIAN night...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If there's anything for me to boast about, let it be about my weaknesses, for in my weaknesses, I know that He is strong. It is his strength that helps me along every day. May my life be a reflection of His glory and not mine.

Philippians 4:11-13
Learning to be contented is not easy. In fact, most people are usually not.
I remember a message by Ps Andrew about playing fair. He said that we should not seek fair play in any relationship. He wasn't being pessimistic or trying to be comforting. He gave a very valid reason to support his statement.
He said that whenever you seek to play fair, you'll never be content. Everything you do for the person will be based on how much the person does for you. So for instance, if someone does not treat you well, you wouldn't go the extra mile for him.
Here in Philippians, Paul adopts an attitude of contentment regardless of his situation. Can you imagine if he sought fairness? All the persecution he went through as he preached because people did not believe his testimony. Expelled and stoned? If he decided that enough was enough, and did not trust God in his endeavours, the Gentiles would probably not have been saved. you and I would not have our salvation.
In any situation, learn to be contented. I'm not trying to say that you should not clarify when there's a misunderstanding or take the blame for every mistake. I'm asking you to look at the bigger picture. In the situation you're in now, are you contented with the lot that God has given to you? Or are you frustrated because you think you deserve better?
I've learnt to expect great things from God because that's what he has promised. But that sense of hope is submitted to His will, His good and PERFECT will for my life. I will be content with what God has given to me: my parents, the ministry I'm serving in, my studies (though it's not looking very good at the moment), my friends (despite the struggles), and my relationship (one step at the time as the Lord leads...)
I'm thankful for the life that He has given to me. It's not mine. It's His. May my every day be lived for His glory.

A little good out of the bad
today didn't start well.
Planned to wake up at 7.30am to mug
But when I opened my eyes,
the clock showed 10:42am.
Thought I could at least get some studying done before heading out,
But I couldn't find my notes.
How 'clever', deniece.
You always lose important stuff when you need it.
Spent an hour looking for it
But it was nowhere to be found.
Decided that I should just get ready to go out
All the searching got me nothing
I opened my closet and had no idea what to wear
I tried on different tops to match different bottoms,
to go with different footwear.
When I finally made up my mind, I got changed and left home.
The weather wasn't making me feel any better.
I stood in the hot sun waiting for a cab.
But none stopped for me.
I took another look at my outfit and I hated it.
I went home to change out of it.
Practice in the afternoon was alright.
Went to Coffee Bean @ Holland to study in the late afternoon before heading to Joses' place.
Had fun wii-ing with Matthan.
I got called a 'noob' because I was.. lol..
At least I managed to do that cool 'hacking' serve
After the wii,
Mag, Jose and I finalized the choreo for the hand mime.
I'm glad.
That was a good break from my mugging as hun rightfully said
I was on my way home after topping up the petrol when Cam called
I detoured to fetch her from Downtown East to Eunos
That's what friends are for anyway.
It was almost midnight when I got home.
Thought I'd do some editing before I start studying again
Spent 2 hours plus learning FCP
and was rendering the video
Then FCP hung!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!@#$%^&*
I only managed to recover the initial stages of my editing
What a bummer...
It's 3.30am now
I'M NOT GOING TO EDIT ANYMORE CLIPS TONIGHT!
So what's the little good that came out of today?
It's hearing my hunny's voice over the phone...
I didn't get a chance to see him today
But I'm thankful for the short conversations we had throughout the day
It meant alot to me
He didn't need to know all the unpleasant stuff that happened to me
Frankly, it isn't important
He didn't need to physically be with me
He still made me very happy
Being able to hear him tell me about his day
and constantly asking me where am I and what I'm doing
makes me feel loved and cared for
That brightened my day
I hope that I will make him as happy as he makes me...
*it's bedtime now*
*deniece switches on her hunnies' tunes and tucks herself into bed...*
"Your Body Is A Wonderland" plays in the background as deniece falls aslp...

Thank You Hunny :)
I know a lot of people have been telling me to throw my HP away because the don't see me using my mac at all.. but that's not true.. hehe.. I tell them I reserve my mac for video and audio editing purposes..
Well.. One of my hunny's strength is that he has good foresight. He knew that I probably wouldn't use my mac unless I'm being forced to. That's because I've developed an emotional attachment to it. Having two lappies confuses me. I get so frustrated that I'd rather stick to my HP :).. So.. here's what my hunny did.
1) He installed Windows on my mac, for games only coz he only partitioned 10G for my Windows.
2) He installed Final Cut Pro (FCP) for me so that I can start my editing on my Mac! Hooray!
3) He transferred most of his MP3s to my mac to get me started on using my itunes.
4) He converted my external hard disk from NTFS (or NTFC?) to FAT32 so that my mac will be able to read it and I can transfer all my stuff to my mac :)
5) He transferred most of my stuff on my HP onto my external hard disk to create more space on my HP. Not to mention also, he helped me clean up my HP, no more buggy viruses and error alerts! No more spy ware!!
6) *sobs* Lastly, he took my HP from me! I'm left with no choice, I have to use my Mac. He did it for this purpose. Strangely, I don't miss my HP as much as I thought I would.
All that elaborate explanation above was meant to appreciate my hunny for helping me to learn to use my Mac. That's more that he did actually. He got darren to give me a crash course on how to use a mac. I want to thank Darren too. Without Ren, I won't be able to know all the cool features of the mac! Like the dashboard, spaces, expose, keyboard shortcuts, how to use spotlight, garageband, photo booth, iphoto and many more. Hunny also helped me install Vuze, a torrent client for my Mac so I can still torrent my files!
Wow.. much has been said... and I'm still not finished with all the appreciation!
Well, I hope that I've been a gd friend to ren and an awesome girlfriend to my hunny!
Yay! My hunny's calling now... blog later...

How I Go - Yellowcard

I could tell you the wildest of tales
My friend the giant and traveling sales
Tell you all the times that I failed
The years all behind me the stories exhaled.
And I'm drying out
Crying out
This isn't how I go
I could tell you of a man not so tall
Who said life's a circus and so we are small
Tell you of a girl that I saw
I froze in the moment and she changed it all
And I'm drying out
Crying out
This isn't how I go
Hurry now
Lay me down
And let these waters
Flow, flow
Son I am not everything
You thought that I would be
But every story I have told
Is part of me (Oooooooooh x4)
You keep the air in my lungs
Floating along as a melody comes
And my heart beats like timpani drums
Keeping the time while a symphony strums
And I'm drying out
Crying out
This isn't how I go
Hurry now
Lay me down
And let these waters
Flow…
Flow
Let it flow (LET IT FLOW) x2
Son I am not everything
You thought that I would be
But every story I have told
Is part of me
Son I leave you now but you have so much more to do
And every story I have told is part of you

Daughters - John Mayer
I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
She's just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change
And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me
Fathers be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters too
Oh, you see that skin?
It's the same she's been standing in
Since the day she saw him walking away
Now she's left
Cleaning up the mess he made
Fathers be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters too
Boys, you can break
You'll find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without warmth from
A woman's good, good heart
On behalf of every man
Looking out for every girl
You are the god and the weight of her world
So fathers be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters, too
So mothers be good to your daughters, too
So mothers be good to your daughters, too

@ Ubin

(Still waiting to get the rest of the pics from hun... this pic was taken in the bus on the way back to Tampines...)
Well, today was a happy day! It's the first day of my hols and I'm already having so much fun! It's not really my hols la.. just study break. But I'm thankful for today. Hun planned to surprise me! And he did! He brought me to Ubin! I've never been there! Mum sent me a funny sms saying "huh? where's that? How to get to that island? Safe or not?" lol.
Anyway... I'm quite disappointed that the tide was high when we went to Chek Jawa and that it rained... Also, I'm sore from the cycling.
But like my hunny said, it's not what you do but who you're with. The company matters. Having my hunny with me made the disappointments insignificant. The rain didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves, and we still had fun nua-ing at the broadwalk although we didn't get to see the pretty corals...
Coconut juice was good too!
We had dinner at Ubin before washing up and heading back to the main island.
Walked the Hokkaido fair at TM (the things are SSSOOOOO expensive there!!) and hunny sent me home! Yea!
It feels good to have hunny send me home once in a while! I wish it was more often.. But I know tt it's not practical la. I felt so bad after that because he had to take 48 all the way back to Holland and he waited for 106 which was so crowded when it came, he decided to just walk home.
I appreciate the effort you put in to make me happy dear!

LooooooooonnnnnnnnnGGGGGG Break
Hate tuesdays.
Have classes in the morning from 9-12 and in the night 7-10. I have 7 hours break in between.
I always don't know what to do during the break.
If I stay in school, I'll be d*** bored...
If I leave sch and meet ppl or go home to rest, I tend to be late for my night class. I have been CONSISTENTLY late for the past weeks...
*sigh*
Another boring 7 hours today...

My PrOFiLe
- tHeKnEeS
- There is only one devotion, to God. My belief, strong and unmovable. I believe in God, the only creator of the universe, the only creator of you and me. Through God, all things hold together. But the Godhead does not only consist of one person, he shares a divine relationship with His son, Jesus Christ, whom he sent to die for us and His Spirit, who is the paraclete to all mankind. If there's one thing i want to share with everyone i know, that is the good news. Christ did it, we receive it. There is nothing greater in this world than knowing his love for us.
