Desert Song

"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” -Shakespeare

Back fRom NTUCF 06

ok!! today.. hmmz.. had a great service.. despite the fact that i was so tired i almost fell aslp during sermon... we were witnesses to the manifestation of gold dust.. during service.. it's very miraculous..

after service.. youth went for outdoor praise and worship session at the esplanade bay.. when we got there.. there was a suddn heavy downpour but we pressed on and pressed in!! singing praises to God all the way.. then finally when we sang shawn's "praise" the clouds had passed.. i was a bit stinky after that but oh well.. nothing beats worshipping the Lord. So we had an awesome time singing as well as hearing from aunty Ruth who shared the word.. on Joshua 1:8.. meditating on the word day and night...

Then KE and i had to leave for COR's concert.. by the time we got there.. we missed the first few items coz we had trouble finding our way... nevertheless.. the rest of it was quite enjoyable.. i videoed the dance items.. to learn the steps... The Pastor from St John St Margs delivered the word.. and it was a new perspective on the meaning of LIFE.. he said that LIFE = God with us + God for us.. hopefully though HM didn't put up her hand for salvation, the seed is planted...
ok.. now for the real gist of my entry..

NTUCF 2006..
i won't like go in detail about the whole camp... but this is what i took away..
FOOD + FUN + FELLOWSHIP!!!

The food was excellent!! we had food "ta-bao-ed" for us from Changi Village Hawker Centre.. how to beat that? haha.. such as Chicken Cutlet Hor Fun, the famous Nasi Lemak... and on the last day.. we had Pizza!!!!!! all the meals came with fresh cut oranges and watermelons!!

The Fun was great... the sessions and games were good.. our theme was being Salt and Light.. and to respond to the calling of being disciples.. Pastor Francis Sithu from SAC shared.. and i am now learning to consecrate my life..
The discussion within our group was also very spontaneous and open.. which everyone managed to receive encouragement from one another.. and also a chance to get to know everyone better..

Games was not bad.. very well organised.. we had "Exodus to the Promise Land" which was basically completing a task at each station.. then came the captain's ball, night games and finally the bible quiz.. thanks Carlsen!
Fellowship was great too.. we played an angel and mortal game and it turned out that my group leader was my angel!! haha... so funny... coz i was complaining to my group that my angel wasnt doing his work... anyway.. if u understand.. Besides that... Taboo bonded us together at the last night too...
I left camp at 3 am with JT to head to the airport.. coz she needed to send her friend off.. i just "nua-ed" there until 6 am to take the first bus.. haha.. dunow what i was thinking.. *SIaNz* bLuRrEd*..

Here's a clip of what happened.. thanks Mabel!

There is only one devotion, to God. My belief, strong and unmovable. I believe in God, the only creator of the universe, the only creator of you and me. Through God, all things hold together. But the Godhead does not only consist of one person, he shares a divine relationship with His son, Jesus Christ, whom he sent to die for us and His Spirit, who is the paraclete to all mankind. If there's one thing i want to share with everyone i know, that is the good news. Christ did it, we receive it. There is nothing greater in this world than knowing his love for us.
