Desert Song

"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” -Shakespeare

"Do not worry...."

Hun got his enlistment letter today. I'm having mixed feelings about him going in. On one hand, I'm glad that he finally knows when he's going in, so things are more certain for him. The earlier he goes in, the earlier he will ORD, so it's good too :)

But there's just so much fear and worry within me. Hun knows. He asked me about it today and I just broke down and cried before I could say anything. We talked about it and he assured me that I'll be fine.

"Pray for me," he said.

He's right. Prayer will help me keep focus on the right things. As I learn to surrender this burden to Him, I know that He will make it light! Jesus, you're my certainty! Help me to fix my eyes on you!

I need my "do not fear" scriptures! One for every day!

Today's bible study verse:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
-Matthew 11:28-30

Uncle Fuji was explaining to me about how the oxen are trained in Japan. They will tie the tails of the pair of oxen together and when the oxen try to go their own way, they will end up fighting because they are stuck to each other. The stronger one would win and the weaker one would submit to the leadership of the stronger ox when they are both yoked together.

It's just like Christ and us. He invites us to be yoked together with him, to be led by him as he bears our burden and makes it light for us.

There is only one devotion, to God. My belief, strong and unmovable. I believe in God, the only creator of the universe, the only creator of you and me. Through God, all things hold together. But the Godhead does not only consist of one person, he shares a divine relationship with His son, Jesus Christ, whom he sent to die for us and His Spirit, who is the paraclete to all mankind. If there's one thing i want to share with everyone i know, that is the good news. Christ did it, we receive it. There is nothing greater in this world than knowing his love for us.
